Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Women
Narrated Abu Musa RA that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Every eye commits adultery, and when the woman uses perfume and she passes by a gathering, then she is like this and that.’” Meaning an adulteress.
(Tirmidhi)

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Dua
Abu Umamah RA reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) was asked: “At what time does the supplication find the greatest response?” He (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) replied, “A supplication made during the middle of the last part of the night and after the conclusion of the obligatory prayers.”
(Tirmidhi)

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Forgiveness
Thauban RA reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) finished his Salat (prayer), he would beg forgiveness three times [by saying, 'Astaghfirullah' (3 times)] and then he would say: “Allahumma Antas-Salamu, wa minkas-Salamu, tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram. (O Allah! You are the Bestower of security and security comes from You; Blessed are You. O Possessor of glory and honour).” Imam Al-Auza`i (one of the subnarrators) of this Hadith was asked: “How forgiveness should be sought?” He replied: “I say: Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah. I seek forgiveness from Allah).”
(Muslim)

Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Piety
Abu Malik Al-Harith bin Asim Al-Ash’ar RA reported that: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said: “Wudu’ is half of Salah; the utterance of (Al-hamdu lillah – all praise belongs to Allah) fills the Scales of good actions; the utterance of (Subhan Allah wa Al-hamdu lillah) (Allah is far removed from every imperfection and all praise belongs to Allah) fills the space between the heavens and the earth, and Salat (prayer) is light; and charity is the proof of Faith; and endurance is light, and the Qur’an is a plea in your favour or against you. Every person departs; he either ransoms it or puts it into perdition”.

German Footballer Reverts to Islam

CAIRO – Germany's young footballer Danny Blum has announced his reversion to Islam, describing it as a religion of hope and strength.

"Islam gives me hope and strength. Pray calms my soul," Blum told Bild newspaper on Monday, January 26.

"I was short-tempered, erratic and did not know where I belong," he added.

Blum joined 1. FC Nürnberg in Bavaria last July. The team plays in the he Second Division of professional football in Germany, the Bundesliga.

Shortly after joining the team, he injured his knee and was forced eventually to take six months off.

A few weeks ago, he took the decision to revert to Islam, joining the world’s fastest growing religion.

"Living in the lap of luxury. Every weekend make alarm. No responsibility for anything. And what actually comes after retirement?” the questions came to Blum as he sat at home.
Talking with his friends about religion, he landed in Islam.

"I have visited a mosque and I immediately risen the heart. I felt this is something for me and wanted to know more," Blum told Bild.

Ever since, he prays five times a day and eat halal food. Informing his parents with his decision, the 24-year-old player said they were scare at first.

"They are devout Christians. But soon they said that I have to go that route if I believe that it is right," he said.

“Islam is a peaceful religion. My faith says: never force anyone to do what he does not want. If you think, it has to come voluntarily from the heart!"

Germany is believed to be home to nearly 4 million Muslims, including 220,000 in Berlin alone. Turks make up an estimated two thirds of the Muslim minority.

NASA Consultant Co Ltd wants to develop a program that can help the consultant to give advice regarding the home loan. The program receives four inputs from the consultant, which are the amount of House Cost in Ringgit Malaysia and years of term applied. Based on these two inputs, program should be able to calculate the monthly repayment. The table for the interest calculation is provided as follows:

Year >= 25, interest 7.5%
Year >= 20, interest 6.5%
Year >= 15, interest 5.5%
Year >= 10, interest 4.5%
Year < 10, interest 4.0%

The formulas for the monthly repayment calculation are as follows:
Interest (RM) = interest (%) x house cost (RM)
House cost with interest = house cost (RM) + interest (RM)
Monthly repayment = house cost with interest / (year of term applied x 12)

YSM Co Ltd is one of the promotion companies. This company wants you to develop a program to help up in calculating the bonus for its employees. The bonus will be calculated based on the sales of the employee and monthly salary. Your program should be able receive two inputs from user, which are sales in Ringgit Malaysia and Monthly Salary. This program should therefore be able to calculate and display the bonus to the user. The table for the bonus rate and index for monthly salary is provided as follows:

The formulas for calculation are as follows:
Bonus based on sales = sales (RM) x bonus (%)
Bonus (RM) = (Monthly salary x index) + bonus based on sales

How To Measure Front-End Website Performance

How To Measure Front-End Website Performance

BoZoom Performance Modulewww.etiendas.co/PrestaShop/BoZoomFastest Back Office On The Planet! CCC .css CCC .js Defer JavaScript
Speaking of optimization process is almost nonexistent among new age web designers. Even many web designers who have been in business a decade or longer do not fully understand the importance of site optimization.
After a prolonged period of time a website will begin to bog down. The frontend files may contain exaggerated blocks of code or locked, hidden bits. This is most commonly seen happening within JavaScript files or images. It may be important to create a pleasing website for the user experience but without an optimized website the design may not even have the chance to fully load on impatient users.

The tips below are for beginner-intermediate web developers interested in optimizing their pages to the fullest. There are many techniques available and each one will behave differently depending on what issues your website is suffering from. Try skimming a few areas and see if you can apply these techniques into your own marks.

HTTP Requests

Each time your website loads it sends an HTTP request to a remote server. This type of data transfer is called a network protocol used specifically for distributing and storing plaintext files. These often include your basic frontend code such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Once the request is sent your browser will parse each page element. Depending on the parsing engine each website will load differently and elements will appear in varying order based on transfer speeds. For example, Internet Explorer will render web pages different than Chrome or Safari, and all of these run slightly different parsing engines than Firefox or Opera.
What has to be considered is how long the request time is for each file takes and if this trend holds consistently. Consider receiving upwards of 100k or 1 million visitors in a month. It is the browser’s job to piece together each page element and load external files into memory.
Often the factors holding down a website’s optimized speed reference clunky JavaScript includes or large image files. With the popularization of Verizon FiOS it’s common for Internet speeds to hit 600kbps and keep climbing! Unfortunately this isn’t the norm and even with high-speed connections it’s possible to experience optimization faults.

Remedies To Site Performance

We are not alone in the field of web development and frontend optimization. For proper work to be completed there are certain tools required to handle the job.
Google has released a project titled Page Speed which was built to help developers optimize their websites and check for the best levels of performance. Originally the project started as an open-source Firebug add-on and is now accepted as a 3rd party reference for website testing.
Another option for Firebug users is Yahoo!’s YSlow add-on. The script analyzes each web page request and suggests the most common ways to improve performance. These suggestions are based on the Yahoo! Developers resource for best optimization practices in web design.
The program may be a little abrasive at first since it contains so much information. Just stick to the basics and by following simple documentation the process should be a piece of cake.
Developers are always interested in jumping onto a project to break down code so this should be a no brainer. For a little help you could check out the YSlow help guide.

Speed Techniques

There are some simple tricks which you can apply to your website immediately to speed up performance. The first and easiest way is to separate your CSS and JavaScript files.
CSS code belongs in the header of your document. This is useful because CSS properties need to be parsed while the DOM is loading. Once a web browser recognizes your CSS styles in the heading it will wait to fully display the web page until all styles have been loaded. Also any images used for icons or background designs will take time to load and should do so first.
On the flip side moving all JavaScript files into your site footer may dramatically solve hangup times. Many browsers block parallel downloads which means before rendering the page a user’s web browser may stop for 4 seconds to fully load external JS includes.
This isn’t always possible nor is it always necessary for every website. If your pages load the same with equal response times regardless of include file placements then don’t bother maneuvering any plays.
Dynamic content is unable to load until the entire DOM is completed, but sometimes this will return errors. Test out CSS/JS includes to see if you can return any optimization benefits.

File Size Compression

Compressing large files has become very popular. It can now even be utilized in web pages to reduce load times and keep file sizes very low. Much of the work has already been done and with tools like YUI Compressor mini-sized files are a no-energy process.
There are plenty of other free services on the web to help with this task as well. Minify CSShas an entire CSS compression interface to make the process simple. The same website also has a custom JavaScript compressor which performs much of the same tasks but keeps the scripting organized.
You may also consider compressing the largest images in your web pages. This can be done with any photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or GIMP by simply resampling the image at a lower resolution. PNG images will export much smaller on average than jpg or TIFF formats. There are also plenty of online tools such as Image Optimizer to aid in the compression process.

Source Checking And Metrics

This is a routine not often practiced by web developers which can offer amazing results. By analyzing all of the page elements in your website you can see which took the longest to load and the order in which each piece was loaded.
The most popular tool Mozilla Firebug is a plug-in for the Firefox browser. This app installs a small toolbar at the bottom of your browser to check response times, header information, page elements, and scripts for each website. The script has also been ported into Firebug Lite as an extension for Google Chrome.

Apache With Mod_pagespeed

Not all setups will be running an Apache web server, so this option isn’t always available. This module is directly related to Google’s Page Speed monitor mentioned earlier. In fact, the code for mod_pagespeed was originally based off many libraries from Google Code’s databases.
Apache allows server administrators to install small packages called modules to enhance the performance of their servers. mod_pagespeed is one of these modules which performs optimization techniques automatically at runtime. There are too many processes to list, although some of the main applications include on-the-fly HTML/CSS/JS compression and image caching.
The project is currently housed at Google and is open to developers. Google has been working with GoDaddy to implement mod_pagespeed into all hosting accounts running Apache HTTP server.
Although many other options are available frontend development work is some of the most intense, especially considering pre-optimization for crucial web pages. Optimizing for site headers and large images can be an extremely tedious yet rewarding task.
Consider some of the techniques introduced in this article and see how these could be applied into your web projects. Often developers do not take enough time to appreciate their work and clean out old bits of code. If you’re still hankering for some tips you should read our ultimate web optimization guide for pointers on frontend maintenance and convenient performance enhancements.

Laravel - Installation

https://www.vagrantup.com/

http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/building-web-applications-from-scratch-with-laravel--net-25517

http://laravel.com/docs/4.2/homestead

Introduction

Laravel strives to make the entire PHP development experience delightful, including your local development environment. Vagrant provides a simple, elegant way to manage and provision Virtual Machines.

Laravel Homestead is an official, pre-packaged Vagrant "box" that provides you a wonderful development environment without requiring you to install PHP, HHVM, a web server, and any other server software on your local machine. No more worrying about messing up your operating system! Vagrant boxes are completely disposable. If something goes wrong, you can destroy and re-create the box in minutes!

Homestead runs on any Windows, Mac, or Linux system, and includes the Nginx web server, PHP 5.6, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Memcached, and all of the other goodies you need to develop amazing Laravel applications.

1. Installation without internet connection

http://fian.my.id/larapack/

Why?

Composer is great dependency manager. It's revolutionized the way we are using PHP. But it's slow compare with other dependency manager (like npm or gem). Especially for people who living in certain area that doesn't have fast internet connection.

I love Laravel, and I have seen other PHP developer who want to try Laravel are getting frustated when they want to install it on their computer because Composer is too slow to install any PHP library that needed by Laravel.

I created Larapack to provide you an simple way to install Laravel on your computer. It's also include composer.phar. So if you needed other library for your application, you can install directly with Composer.

Larapack will be updated weekly. But it is intended for PHP developer who still relative new with Laravel and Composer and if you already know about it, I strongly suggest you to install/update it with Composer. I also have modified composer.json inside Larapack to give a boost performance when you try to update your Laravel dependencies.

Temp Employer wants a program that will allow the company's clerk to enter an employee's name and the number of hours the employees works every month. The program will display the name, number of weeks, days and hours worked. For example, if the employee enters the number 70, the program will display the employee's name, then 1 week, 3 days, and 6 hours.

List the input, process and output
Draw the flow chart
Write a program

Design an algorithm for a program to convert temperature in degrees Fahrenheit to degrees Celsius. The equation for this conversion is:
Celsius = 5.0 / 9.0 (Fahrenheit - 32.0)

Design an algorithm for a program to calculate the sum of the numbers from 1 to 100. The formula for calculation this sum is:
sum = (n / 2) (2 * a + (n - 1) d)
where n is number of terms to be added, a is the first number abd d is the difference between each number.

Shipping Industries  needs a program that allows its shipping staff to enter an item's name, the quantity of the item in inventory, and how many units of the item can be packed in a box for shipping. The program should display the item's name, the number of full boxes that can be packed from the quantity on hand, and the quantity of items left over.

Write a program to calculate and display the coordinates of the midpoint of the line connecting the two points whose coordinates are entered by user (x1, y1) and (x2, y2). Use the fact that the coordinates of the midpoint between two points having coordinates (x1, x2) and (x2, y2) are ((x1+x2)/2), ((y1+y2)/2). The display produced by your program should be:

The x corrrdinate of the midpoint is xxx.xx
The y coordinate of the midpoint is yyy.yy

where xxx.xx and yyy.yy denotes that the calculated value should be placed in a field wide enough for three places to the left of the decimal point and two places to the right of it.

Write a program to create a customer's bill for a company. The company sells five computer gadgets which are CD, keyboard, printer, pen drive and speaker. The unit prices are RM60.00 per pack, RM130.00, RM850.00, RM65.00 and RM72.50, respectively. The program must read from the keyboard the quantity of each piece of equipment purchased. It then calculates the cost of each item, the subtotal, and the total cost after 3.25% sales tax.

Use constant for the unit prices and the tax rate.

Why India’s Finest Film Composer Converted To Islam

Published on Tuesday, 20 January 2015 09:58

When AS Dileep Kumar decided to shed the faith he was born into and adopt a new one, the reasons were several.
His father’s untimely death had put several financial pressures on the family, which included four children. His spiritual-minded mother had met, and gained immense succour, from a Sufi saint, peer Karimullah Shah Qadri. And he had been grappling with minor and major identity issues: he didn’t like the name he was born with, he was looking for direction and purpose, and he wanted to get a handle on his professional future. That man is today known as Allahrakha Rahman, one of India’s foremost composers. He discusses his decision to convert and the impact it had on him in these edited excerpts from AR Rahman: The Spirit of Music by Nasreen Munni Kabir.
How has Sufism affected your attitude to life?
It has taught me that just as the rain and the sun do not differentiate between people, neither should we. Only when you experience friendship across cultures, you understand there are many good people in all communities…
Did your belief in spirituality help when you and your family were facing hard times?
Yes, absolutely. My mother was a practising Hindu… My mother had always been spiritually inclined. We had Hindu religious images on the walls of the Habibullah Road house where we grew up. There was also an image of Mother Mary holding Jesus in her arms and a photograph of the sacred sites of Mecca and Medina.
In 1986, ten years after my father died, we happened to meet Qadri Saaheb again. The peer was unwell and my mother looked after him. He regarded her as a daughter. There was a strong connection between us. I was nineteen at the time and working as a session musician and composing jingles.
Did the peer ask you to embrace Islam?
No, he didn’t. Nobody is forced to convert to the path of Sufism. You only follow if it comes from your heart. A year after we met Qadri Saaheb in 1987, we moved from Habibullah Road to Kodambakkam to the house where we still live. When we moved, I was reminded of what Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, once said: “I wish that you were cold and hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
What I understood by his words was that it is better to choose one path. The Sufi path spiritually lifted both my mother and me, and we felt it was the best path for us, so we embraced Sufi Islam.
Were you conscious of the fact that changing your faith might affect your relations with people?
My family had started working by then and we weren’t dependant on anyone. No one around us really cared – we were musicians and that allowed us greater social freedom…
The important thing for me is that I learned about equality and the oneness of god. Whether you are a winner or loser, king or slave, short or tall, rich or poor, sinner or saint, ugly or beautiful – regardless of what colour you are, god showers unlimited love and mercy on us if we choose to receive it. It is because of our inability, our blindness in seeing the unknown that we lose faith.
On the net there are many versions of how you came to be called AR Rahman. What is the real story?
The truth is I never liked my name…. No disrespect to the great actor Dilip Kumar! But somehow my name didn’t match the image I had of myself.
Sometime before we started on our journey on the path of Sufism, we went to an astrologer to show him my younger sister’s horoscope because my mother wanted to get her married. This was around the same time when I was keen to change my name and have a new identity. The astrologer looked at me and said, “This chap is very interesting.”
He suggested the names: “Abdul Rahman” and “Abdul Rahim” and said that either name would be good for me. I instantly loved the name “Rahman.” It was a Hindu astrologer who gave me my Muslim name.
Then my mother had this intuition that I should add “Allahrakha” [protected by god], and I became AR Rahman.
